A magical lineup of new attractions, live entertainment and special events will make their debut at Walt Disney World Resort as part of Disney’s “Year of a Million Dreams” celebration, which lasts until December 31, 2007. To top it all off, Disney cast members will award “a million dreams” to guests selected through a random process daily during the “Disney Dreams Giveaway.”

New “Year of a Million Dreams” attractions at Disney World include Finding Nemo – The Musical at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and The Seas with Nemo & Friends at Epcot. Based on Disney’s animated classic, the Broadway-style Finding Nemo – The Musical boasts music, dance, acrobatics, puppetry and incredible animated backdrops. Finding Nemo – The Musical takes place at the state-of-the-art Theater in the Wild. The Sea with Nemo & Friends allows you to ride aboard a “clamobile” and revisit all of your favorite Finding Nemo characters, including Nemo, Dory, Marlin and Crush. The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion (formerly The Living Seas Pavilion) boasts a 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium.

Other special events and attractions that will take place at Disney World during the “Year of a Million Dreams” include Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial (Adventureland), The Happily Ever After Party (Cinderella Castle), Woody’s Cowboy Camp (Frontierland), High School Musical Pep Rally (Tomorrowland), the Dream Along With Mickey stage show (Cinderella Castle), Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club (Tomorrowland) and Main Street Family Fun Day Parade (Main Street, U.S.A.).

In addition to the “Year of a Million Dreams,” Disney will introduce a new after-hours event for 2007, Disney’s Pirate & Princess Party, which enables children to dress up as their favorite princess or pirate and seek out royal beads and chocolate doubloons, explore pirate coves and take part in princess courts, as well as enjoy a variety of great activities throughout Disney’s Magic Kingdom such as Disney’s Enchanted Adventures Parade and the “Magic, Music and Mayhem” fireworks display.

Disney’s Pirate & Princess Party runs during select days during January, February and March from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Advance ticket prices are $36.95 plus tax for ages 10 and over and $29.95 plus tax for ages 3 through 9.

Visitors to Downtown Disney will also notice some new changes and a few construction projects underway for 2007. One popular addition to Pleasure Island is Raglan Road, a lively Irish pub that features authentic Irish cuisine and four bars, as well as live Irish music and dance. Within The World of Disney Store at Downtown Disney Marketplace lies the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, a “magical salon” that offers princess makeovers by “Fairy Godmothers-in-Training.” Finally, construction is scheduled to begin in late 2007 on the T-Rex Café, “A Prehistoric Family Adventure” that boasts life-size dinosaurs, waterfalls, geysers, a fossil dig site and much more. The T-Rex Café will be located next to the McDonald’s in Downtown Disney Marketplace.

For example, the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway will include such "over-the-top experiences" as a New Year's Eve night stay inside Cinderella Castle Suite at Disney's Magic Kingdom, a star-studded trip to the "High School Musical 3" film premiere, a flight in a a hot air balloon high above a Disney World theme park and a private day at Disney's tropical island paradise, Castaway Cay.

During the 2008 Year of a Million Dreams, Disney will also award hundreds of thousands of other dreams in various shapes and sizes such as Dream FASTPASS badges, special viewing for Disney parades, Disney shopping sprees, gourmet Disney dining packages, special Dream Mouse Ears, Dream pin sets and additional hours (known as Dream Times) for chosen guests to enjoy a Disney theme park.

Toy Story Mania!
The newest attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Studios), Toy Story Mania! will make its debut during the summer of 2008. Inspired by the classic Disney•Pixar animated film, Toy Story, Toy Story Mania! features state-of-the-art, 3-D technology to create an interactive ride-through video game. Using spring-action "shooters," guests score points by launching darts at balloons, throwing eggs at barnyard targets and tossing rings at aliens.

The year-ending holiday season is the best time to pay a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. There are more season-specific events during this time than any other. This is great news for you if you happen to be traveling to Orlando in the upcoming month, but the number of events can be a bit overwhelming and daunting to keep up with so we have outlined the latest happenings at the Walt Disney World Resort for your convenience.

First up in November is the Festival of the Masters at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. Here you will find one of the most eclectic and critically acclaimed open air art festivals in the United States. Young children may not be too excited to pay a visit here but don't worry, just a few steps away is the World of Disney store. The largest Disney store in the country will keep the young ones entertained while teenagers and adults enjoy the art festival. The festival runs from November 11-13, 2005.

During the weekend of November 12, the biggest soap opera stars gather at the Disney-MGM Studios for ABC Super Soap Weekend. Fans of various ABC daytime dramas will be able to meet and greet dozens of popular stars in person, including Susan Lucci.

Also showing at the Disney-MGM Studios, beginning on Monday November 14, is The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. This brilliant display of Christmas lights and decorations is not to be missed. Come out and marvel at the sight of over 5 million lights adorning the New York Street district of the Disney-MGM Studios. Insider fact: This event requires the use of 32 miles of extension cables and 66 snow machines!

For more holiday fun, head back to the Downtown Disney Marketplace for the Festival of the Seasons. The festive atmosphere during this event is very infectious and beams of holiday cheer. Stroll through and visit the various shops and enjoy the Disney-themed nighttime entertainment. This month-long festival runs from November 19 to December 24.

The EPCOT Center also joins in the holiday cheer with Holidays Around The World. Circle the vast World Showcase lagoon and celebrate the holiday season as you indulge in music, characters, and food from around the world. This is certainly something the entire family can enjoy. Holidays Around The World can be experienced from November 25 to December 30.

At last, towards the end of November, you will find Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney's Magic Kingdom. This is Disney World's cornerstone holiday celebration, so if you are visiting the resort during November 27 to December 20, you will surely not want to miss this event. The celebration is complete with a special parade, a new fireworks spectacular, and cheerful stage shows.

At Walt Disney World, the holiday season is truly "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year".
